The AMBER Alert Program is a voluntary partnership between law-enforcement agencies, broadcasters, transportation agencies, and the wireless industry to activate an urgent bulletin in the most serious child-abduction cases. The goal of an AMBER Alert is to instantly galvanize the entire community to assist in the search for and safe recovery of the child.
The Danbury Rotary Club provides Amber ID cards in case of abduction. Date is collected at these events and then processed into a secure amber database where encrypted information is sent to national amber alerts. Our voluntary events help parents/guardians gather physical information of their child to have in the event of an emergency. Please attend this event so you have your child's information close-at-hand. **Note:The information gathered is provided directly to the parents/guardians only, and is not retained by Danbury Rotary or law-enforcement agencies.
For questions regarding the Amber Alert program or to schedule an Amber registration, please contact Robert (Bob) Vetter @ (203) 748-1105 or bob"at"cdscorp.us.
